ARCATA — One final chance to illustrate program progress comes Saturday when the Humboldt State cross country teams compete at the NCAA Division II West Region Championships in San Francisco. Runners from throughout the west will race in the meet, hosted by San Francisco State in Golden Gate Park.

HSU to host CCAA Championships on Saturday
ARCATA — Championships season begins Saturday when Humboldt State hosts the California Collegiate Athletic Association meet at McKinleyville's Beau Pre Golf Course. Nineteen schools will be represented in the event, which begins with the women's 6K race at 9 a.m. and is followed by the men's 8K race at 9:45 a.m.

Runners race once more before big meets begin
ARCATA — One final tuneup remains before the beginning of championship season, and the Lumberjacks will take advantage of that occasion when they travel to the Bay Area for Friday's San Francisco State Invitational. First up is the women's 6K at 4 p.m., followed by the men's 8K at 4:45 p.m. Both races will be held in Golden Gate Park, site of the Nov. 7 NCAA Division II West Region Championships.
