PHILADELPHIA – Facing possibly their final race of the season, the Humboldt State women’s varsity eight pulled out all the stops and took the petite final at the Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday morning.

Women’s eight qualifies for petite final
PHILADELPHIA – Hoping to capitalize on its WIRA Championship last weekend and qualify for the NCAA Tournament, the Humboldt State rowing team competed in the Dad Vail Regatta, but neither boat was able to qualify for its' Saturday grand final.

Lumberjacks head east for next challenge
ARCATA – After capturing the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship on Lake Natoma last week, the Humboldt State rowing team travels east, to Philadelphia, Pa., to compete in the oldest and largest collegiate regatta in the United States, the Dad Vail Regatta May 7-9.

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – Building on a strong day of heat racing on Saturday and battling cross winds as well as the competition, the Humboldt State rowing team won one grand final had two seconds and two thirds en route to the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championship on Lake Natoma on Sunday.

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Humboldt State rowing team entered five boats in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championship on Lake Natoma on Saturday, four won their heats to move into the grand finals on Sunday and the fifth won the petite final today.
