College Creek Soccer Field
Ground was broken in the fall of 2008 for the new Humboldt State Soccer Field, completed in 2011. Nicknamed “The Lumber Yard,” the new facility is located on the same site as the former field and will be used exclusively for Humboldt State Soccer. The only minor tweak is the new field is oriented from north to south. The state-of-the-art synthetic turf field is surrounded by a new campus housing development and also features both men's and women’s team locker rooms near the entrance. Each locker room is equipped with personal lockers, bathrooms, showers and flat screen televisions. Permanent seating will be installed prior to the 2012 season and fans can look forward to the installation of lights some time in the near future. The facility is one of the most impressive on the west coast and will become the standard in which all other fields are measured.
